Showa Phase 3 Minus Black

The Showa Phase 3 Riders, minus Kamen Rider Black

Showa Kamen Rider Series Phase 3 (昭和仮面ライダーシリーズ第3期 Shōwa Kamen Raidā Shirīzu Dai San-Ki?) was the third production phase of the Showa Kamen Rider Series, the first era of the Kamen Rider Series. It refers primarily to the third run of the Kamen Rider Series on Japanese TV, starting with Kamen Rider Black which was then followed by Kamen Rider Black RX, both TV series featuring Tetsuo Kurata as protagonist Kotaro Minami.

Despite the start of the Heisei period of Japan starting during the early episodes of Kamen Rider Black RX due to the death of Emperor Hirohito and the subsequent ascension of Akihito, as well as the limited presence the Kamen Rider Series had during the 1990s, consisting of the movies Shin, ZO, and J, is counted as part of this final phase of the Showa Kamen Rider Series, having all been made before the passing of Shotaro Ishinomori in 1998.
